EV Charging for Apartment Residents
Each year, more Australians living in apartments, flats, and units are switching to EVs. Getting one installed can be a difficult process, but that's where we come in and make it simple. We live and breathe EVs and can make getting a charger installed the smoothest process for you!
HOW TO GET STARTED:
1. Get body corporate approval for your EV Charger
2. Obtain site approval and cost estimate
3. Get a committee review and approval
4. Design and plan
5. Install!
It can be hard to know how to ask site owners for permission. We’ll prepare a proposal for you to send to your owners corporation and strata manager. This will make it easy for you to give them all the information they need to set it up. Once you have the complex's permission to go ahead and install, and you know the types of chargers and payment gateways you'd like to use, ask us for a quote! Once accepted, we’ll start the installation.
Here's what EV owners can expect from us when it comes to charger installation within their apartment complex:
1. Nearby location and good visibility
2. Contactless pay pass and tap
3. Charging support
4. Simple charging experience
5. Repeat visits

EV or Electric Car Charging For Property Developers
Why should I Incorporate EV charging into my new build development?
Electric car chargers offer many opportunities for property developers. As environmental concerns continue to grow, more people are switching to more sustainable living options. By offering EV chargers, property developers can signal commitment to eco-friendly practices and make their properties more favourable.
Potential buyers or renters may be willing to pay more for a property that offers the convenience of charging at home, especially if they already own an EV or are considering buying one. With home chargers, residents do not have to rely solely on public charging stations, which can sometimes be busy or inconveniently located. This convenience can be a major selling point for potential buyers or renters.
Planning from the start:
Our team at EVolution will work with you to integrate custom EV charging networks into your sites system. Through years of experience, we have honed specialised techniques to optimise the performance and effectiveness of our skills so that our technicians are adeptly trained to execute efficiently. Furthermore, we take charge of providing, setting up, and initiating all hardware and software, ensuring seamless utilisation by your on-site management and electrical teams.
How many EV Chargers should I install within my property?
The amount of EVs depends on a number of factors, such as building code requirements, ESG criteria and green-star requirements. The Green Building Council of Australia grants a Green-star point for providing EV charging points in 5% of parking spaces and recommends that 25% of all spaces be equipped with EV charging infrastructure. This is a solid initial step to take. Additionally, we advocate for the installation of DC Rapid charging stations in communal parking areas for those in need of a swift recharge.
