For any EV conversion, construction of a structure to house the batteries that will provide the power to drive your car can be complex and time consuming. In our experience it can consume up to 60% of the the build effort. Any battery box must meet local standards and in many regions be resistant to penetration and withstand up to a 20G impact.
This custom built and fully populated pair of battery boxes (left and right) is designed to be mounted directly under the front seats of the series Land Rover and Land Rover Defender.
The casing is contructed out of high grade aluminium and seam sealed for both strength and to guard against water ingress.
The battery box comes complete with integrated BMS and wiring and high voltage terminals meaning it's ready to drop straight into your build.
This battery box has been designed to work directly with the ADR rules (VSB14). By using this battery box you will reduce the effort required and number of engineer visits to satisfy engineering requirements.
The battery system can be supplied in 3 configurations as below and be used in combination with our other custom built battery systems.
40S1P for 130v nominal - best for when installed as the only power source
20S2P for 65v nominal
10S4P for 3.25v nominal - best for when combined with other battery boxes
